Sneak Peak At 2017 Decor & Gift Trends

Check out my favorite 2017 products I found at one of the worlds largest gift shows (in Atlanta).  It was full of all styles of decor, holiday, kitchen and gifts for 2017 Spring and Summer trends.  It’s the leading wholesale marketplace with showrooms in over 7 million square feet and three building complexes.  It’s super exciting (and crazy exhausting!) to be exposed to so many manufacturer’s product lines and designer collections all in one place.

There are gift trade shows happening all over the world, but America’s Mart in GA is one of the biggest!  I mean three city buildings full!  My poor feet walked it and took it all in. My brain was numb and overwhelmed, but in a good way.  It was beautiful and very inspiring.

WARNING! A majority of the items that I’ll be showing you are quite lovely but are not in stores yet.  Plus! These products are from wholesalers NOT retailers. All the retailers from all over were at the show buying their products.  But!  You can contact the wholesalers and ask them where the nearest store is or online as to wear to buy them.  So all hope isn’t lost.

For home decor it’s all about texture, texture, texture.  Grey will still be in this year, but they will be warmer tones.

Hobnail texture for glassware and pitchers, especially on milk glass pieces.  Hooray! Milk glass is coming back! You’ll also see it on table lamps and other decor pieces.  You can find Hobnail products at Anthropologie now.

Antiques are making a strong comeback.  Mix up your home with some 19th century pieces.

Brushstroke and handmade finishes were a common motif at the show.  This artisan look was also carried into table top items.

Check out these pillows at The Blush Label.

I love this Abbesses Set!  I heard Oprah love’s this company, too!

I fell in love with this next line!  It’s so fresh and soft. At first glance in person I thought it was sea glass or some type of petrified glass, but it’s resin.

Check out Nashi Home.

I love these textures bowls and serving pieces!  This design was “inspired by the rugged coastline of Maine.”

I just can’t get enough of this hand painted look!  Check out this Salamanca Set!

Because these are my favorite pics from the show you’ll hear me say over and over “I love this, too.”  But seriously! I really do love Architec’s materials and products.  They are made from recycled plastics and paper. Here’s where to find their Salad bowl.

Channel Tufting was another big trend at the show.  Rich jewel-toned colors in a smooth velvet texture with texture and dimension.

If you need to get your paws on one of these now check out Anthropologie.  They have several gorgeous colors to choose from.

Shall we talk about accessories next?  While walking the show I bumped into to artisan jewelry designers that I felt had sweet stories behind their work.

Vella Mode was founded by Trecy Bleich. Her pieces are all hand crafted original designs.  Be sure to check her stuff out!

This next artist has a mission behind her jewelry.  Each product is endowed with positive energy.  Also, a percentage of the sales is donated to multiple charities including The American Cancer Society and Special Olympics to mane a few.  Check out V’Enza Creations.

These products below are from Roost Co. and sadly you cannot buy them from their website.  But you’ll possibly find these products in a boutique.  FYI- If you’re from MN and live in the metro area I know Vibrant carries this brand off of 1168 Selby Avenue in St. Paul.  Check it out!  The store if fabulous!

I really love unique hand bags so when I came across these designer bags I had to introduce myself and learn more about their work.

Graf Lantz is a combination of felt with colorful mixes of leather and canvas materials.  The craftsmanship is beautiful.

The purses below are made out of steel! Wendy Stevens say’s, “All of my bags are made of stainless steel with leather and metal components and are hand fabricated and assembled in the refurbished production facility outside of Philadelphia. The use of stainless steel as the primary material has been effective in the strength, form and longevity of the product.”

Another bag to peak at is Christen Maxwell’s line.  I like how they mixed a neutral raw fabric with a bold metallic strip through the middle.

Kate Spade has a new floral line coming out this year!

If your into soap then you’ll LOVE this company!  SallyeAnder’s has been making soap for 30 years and is still recognized for being the best.

It’s there intention to “deliver the highest quality, all-natural skincare solutions to our customers without the use of artificial chemicals and synthetic ingredients.  Gary Austin began the company with an Olive Oil Castile soap for his baby son who was allergic to grocery-aisle-soap and what sprung from there was a true understanding of the needs of people with allergy prone sensitive skin.”  This soap is AMAZING!

Ok for kids lines these were my two favorites.  These products take me back to when when I was a young girl.

You’ll love Blabla!

Maileg is another sweet children’s line that’s lines are simple but tender.  You’ll love their sheets and soft color pallets.

Ok ladies, last but certainly not least I want to leave you with the company called Simply Baked.  If you haven’t heard of them they create cute disposable paper baking products.  That’s right! You can back a cake, bread, cup cakes, brownies, or hot dishes in them.  They are perfect for gifts and presentation. The best part, you don’t have to worry about you friend or loved one returning your dish back to you.  Check out their entire line!  Hey Oprah loves this product too!

I love those gray felt and leather bags. So beautiful. And the marble up on top, and that picture of all the living room texture. All the texture, bring it on!

Hi, Melessa. I love reading blogs like this and your blog is interesting. It might be a bit late for this, but I’m planning to redecorate my house and I’m getting fabulous ideas from your blog. I just love that dresser! I think it will be perfect in our master’s bedroom since the theme is white and gold.
