2017 was the year of the eyebrow, which by the way aren’t going away anytime soon, but what will be the top beauty trend for 2018?!

While we still care about our brows, lashes will be the center of attention for 2018. How do we know? Think about where you go to check out style, beauty, home décor…. Pinterest! But not just Pinterest. All the major players (clothing designers, cosmetic companies, trade magazines) suggest “next level lashes” will top global beauty trends in 2018. It’s all about amping up your eyes with eyelashes that make a statement.
Lacking in the lash department? No worries. There are lots of options out there for you! The spectrum ranges anywhere from grocery store mascara to magnetic falsies. Today we’re going to focus on the option of achieving your own longer-looking, fuller-looking, darker-looking eyelashes with Rodan + Fields Lash Boost.
A little background for you…
I’ve never been big into makeup. Well, that’s not 100% true. I really like makeup. I just like to sleep more than I like makeup. Hahaha! Really, though, I like to sleep until the last possible minute so I’m usually running out the door still throwing my wet hair into a bun. When I worked in Corporate America, I often got busted applying minimal makeup (blush, mascara, lip gloss) in the women’s restroom somewhere around lunch time. Super professional!
Several years ago, my girlfriend got into the lash extension industry. I thought I was the perfect candidate for lash extensions! And I got to be one of her guinea pigs while she was learning. Major bonus! So, I sat in the chair for a couple hours and got a beautiful set of full lashes. Hooray, one less thing to do in the women’s restroom at work! But, I’m a little wacky and the minute those things started to grow out they drove me nuts. I ended up ripping them all out. Eeek! Not only was that horrible for my lashes, it was all that meticulous work down the drain. Major friend fail! I tried a couple more times before she was finally like, “No, ma’am. No more luxurious lashes for you!”
Then, last April I became an independent consultant with Rodan + Fields. Lash Boost was one of the products I started using immediately. It’s a nightly conditioning serum that enhances the appearance of your natural lashes in as little as 4 weeks. The longer you use it, the better they look. It moisturizes, nourishes and protects your lashes while providing visibly transformative results (longer-looking, fuller-looking, darker-looking).
Like all Rodan + Fields products, Lash Boost features Multi-Med Therapy. That means it’s designed to deliver the right medication, in the right formulation, in the right order. It includes Panthenol for conditioning, Peptides and Biotin to protect lashes. And it’s for everyone! It’s been ophthalmologist tested and proven to be gentle and safe for everyday use. Also suitable for contact lens wearers, like me.
Lash Boost comes in a bottle like mascara. But the wand is more like a thin nail polish brush. To apply, you just dip the wand once, remove any excess (more is not better!) and apply on lash line (literally on the lashes beside your eyelid). Repeat for the other eye. There’s no need to apply to lower lashes (blinking naturally applies product there). And it dries in 90 seconds. I keep it on my nightstand and it’s the last thing I do at night. Easy peasy! I love that it’s that quick and there’s no appointment necessary. It’s definitely my go-to for next-level lashes. Find me here or here to start your journey to luscious lashes in 2018.
