My Daily “Pep Talk”

Beginning your day by giving yourself a little pep talk is an excellent way to inject some positivity into your daily routine.  If you’re working toward a goal, it’s a great time to remind yourself of your goal and the steps you will take during the day to move toward achieving that goal.  Reinforce your goals with some daily reminders or affirmations.  They help you stay focused on what’s really important and help quiet those negative thoughts that can creep in every once and a while. Try choosing reminders or affirmations that compliment your goals, but also add some to your list that help you with every day situations. As you make daily reminders or affirmations a habit, they will come to your mind throughout the day when you need a little pick-me-up. As you continue to think on them and act on them, they become more and more a part of who you are. They are more than just positive self-talk and a tool for helping you reach your goals. When you really act on them they can help put you on the path to feeing real gratitude and joy.
