I believe those who might question your decisions now, will come to you for help and counsel when their time to face difficult/dreaded problems come. I have gone through and am going through some tough medical/health issues and have truly learned much by going through them instead of just being on the “outside looking in” and passing judgement as I have to admit, I did to some degree at times. It is super humbling once it’s you who has to face the difficulties. We are SO very fortunate to live in this day when medicine can be extremely helpful and extend our lives. I also agree that numerous things can befall our children that we cannot, for a minute, feel guilty that we may have inadvertently passed something on to them (it was passed on to us with us not blaming those who came before–whether they knew of their issue or not). Life is fragile and full of uncertainties. We are here to be tested in many ways–we cannot escape that reality. I LOVE your positive attitudes!
