Wowzers! What a week I had. It’s been go-go-go all week, but I’m kinda loving it…
I’m in catalog season, wrapping up product packaging, product testing and now running the 2019 Talisman Designs catalog. I’m pretty excited about the cover page too! Can’t tell you yet, it’s a secret. You’ll just have to wait! 😉
I’ve also been working on a lovely traditional family room layout for a client and wrapping up the final orders for my kitchen remodel. I’ve also been itching to get one of the chairs in my living room reupholstered… so I’m squeezing that in too. Crazy, I know, but it’s a good crazy because I love being busy, creative and I LOVE feeling like I’ve had a full productive day. It’s a natural high for me. I would like to enjoy my place before Thanksgiving hits so that’s a big motivator. 😉
In the midst of everything, I wanted to come up with a fun, layered pumpkin DIY with items I already had. So, I sifted through my studio and discovered a ton of colorful construction paper under my desk. I’m sure you guys have piles of construction paper too, right? I also found a big hole punch I forgot about. Put two and two together and you have this look to go with my whimsical porch.

Here’s what you need:

- Your favorite colors of paper
- Hole punch (1-inch diameter or 1.5-inch diameter is good)
- Glue sticks or glue gun
- Fake pumpkin
This is one of those low key crafts you can do while watching a good movie. It’s way easier than carving a pumpkin!
Start punching out your favorite holiday colors! After you have enough dots laying around, figure out what your pattern will be and start gluing them around the pumpkin. Start at the top next to the stem. That’s it!

I think it turned out pretty cute, especially considering I didn’t have to go to a store and buy anything.

Have a wonderful weekend!
XOXO
