There were so many things happening this season, I had to split this post in two. Check out the rest of what’s in style this cozy season.
Last week, I spoke about adding more color to the kitchen, tech-free rooms, creative bedding, cozy quilts, velvet, baskets, woven textures, brass and mixing up your furniture.
Let’s see what else is coming up this season…
I know I’ve mentioned this in comments before… If trends overwhelm you, you are not alone! They overwhelm me too! You’ll never keep up and that’s completely ok. Don’t ever feel like you have to switch things up all the time to look and feel up to date. Pull that thought out of your head right now! Designs and art will always evolve. If there’s a design/look you absolutely love from a few years back (or even further), that’s awesome. If there are new designs you love too, pick up a couple of those. Don’t feel pressure to do a complete re-do. Go with what you love and bring it into your home. Your home should reflect you, not your audience or what’s popular. You have to live in it. Make it your happy place.

These have been in trend for a couple years and they aren’t leaving yet.

Bone Inlay
This, in my opinion, should never die. It is so beautiful and always catches my eye when I see it in a store.

Dark Paint
I have a huge crush on dark paint too! So much so, I have it in my bedroom and master bath. When I started painting my bathroom navy, my husband said, “Oh yay, now I get to pee in a cave.” Did I care?… Nope! Truth be told, after I finished, he totally loved it!

Faux Accents
This can be anything like floral arrangements, removable wall paper, wooden beams, or floor decals. The idea is that nothing is permanent.

So there you have it!
Out of both posts, which trends do you think you could live with the longest?
Have a great weekend!

September 20, 2017 at 12:35 pmYou inspired me with this post! I have a very white laundry room that now has a pale blue ceiling inspired by the painted ceilings in this post. I love it! Thank you!
