I’ve had a bunch of people ask me, “What are you going to wear in Europe?”
We went to a lot of different countries, so I wanted my wardrobe to be able to dress up and be casual. Here are all the places we went: Amsterdam, Bruges, Paris, Normandy, London, all through Scotland, all through Ireland and Iceland.
Honestly, I kept it pretty simple, but stylish. Because I was there for two and a half weeks, I needed to pack light so moving from place to place was super easy. Plus, I needed to make room for wool blankets that I’ve been dreaming of buying from the UK. 😉
It’s Spring over there. That means rain. Our forecast was actually very good. We had only 3 days of light rain at different times, so I was glad to be prepared.
I wanted most of my outfits to coordinate with each other as much as possible. When you’re traveling, time is precious, so I didn’t want to give it much thought on what to wear when I was over there. It was nice to just get up, grab the items that were on top and throw them on.
I went really light on the jewelry accessories, but deliberately chose bold statement pieces. The only item I’m not showing is my fake wedding band. I picked up a cheap ring at Target for $14.00. Never, never travel with good jewelry. Buy a fake set, so if you do accidentally loose it, no problem. There’s nothing worse then having your items lost or stolen. I’ve been down that road before, yuck!

I set the camera up for Nate so he could take all the photos of me. He did a great job!

Nate and I did a ton of hiking in the mountains too (we LOVE the outdoors), so I wanted to dress comfortable and warm. My rain boots worked way better than I thought. They had memory foam in them so every step was soft and comfy. I may consider hiking in those more often.

April 13, 2018 at 7:20 amThanks Sarah! I was a blast! I could have very easily purchased 20 blankets. I LOVE wool! Some people find it too thick and itchy, but not me. It’s genuine, warm, stately and so cozy in my opinion. I’ll be doing a post on what I purchased over there soon.

I struggle with them all when I go for 4 weeks because there are so many venues, events, reunions, running, swimming, volleyball, beaching, hiking, fancy eating, church etc. Packing is a mess for 6 people. Maybe I need to hire you as a packing consultant.
