Hoping to avoid a look that is trendy now, but might not be in a year or two? Here are a few ways to give your kitchen a long-lasting look you won’t tire of.
Quartz Countertops

Quartz countertops are easy peasy to clean and they don’t require a sealant. It’s not as picky as granite and you get way better timeless options to choose from. Quartz countertops can live with any colored cabinet choice whether it’s light or dark so it’s a material that can live on with many styles, making it unlikely you’ll grow out of the look.
Open Kitchens

No more kitchen isolation. It’s a fabulous way to entertain yet still feel like you’re interacting and apart of the crowd. It creates a more casual environment, plus also forces you to keep your kitchen a little cleaner. 😉
Kitchen Islands

I feel like countertop space is precious. We need a lot of room to prepare our food. Keep your kitchen island more seamless and open with a single-level island. Having two levels on your island takes away a lot of your potential prep station so invest in removing that top level and give yourself a more generous area to prep.
Marble
You can find this large marble utensil holder at Target, click here to buy.
This lovely material will never get old. You don’t need everything marble, but incorporating cheese boards, bowls, and other accessories to give it a fresh clean look that also looks fabulous with natural wood finishes.
Subway Tile

This is such a simple design to work with, and so easy to install, it’s no wonder people love it. It’s the perfect way to keep your kitchen feeling bright and current. Because of its clean shape, you can still arrange it so many ways to give your kitchen more of a personal touch.
Hidden Appliances or Statement Appliances

I’m not a fan of having my appliances stand out unless I’m being more deliberate about how I want them to stand out. And there are so many options now! Hidden appliances, even though are absolutely stunning with beautiful paneling, will be more on the expensive side. As designers evolve each year and continue to push the boundaries in the kitchen you have more options whether you want to build custom panels over your appliances or invest in statement appliances that create the accent color in your kitchen. The fun part is you get to choose. Whichever way you go, their look is classic.
Doing White Right

White kitchens are forever! There are so many little shifts you can do to a simple white kitchen. You’ll never get tired of it. Go bold or keep it neutral; you decide. All you need are the right accessories to add just the right amount of color. Even easier is when you’re sick of them, just switch them out with something else. Use a mix of different whites in your space to add more depth to your space.
Mixed Metal Finishes

Kitchen finishes come and go, but if you mix them together they will feel more classic. Kitchens need some shine so be sure to incorporate a balance of metal finishes in your space through appliances, faucets, hardware, stools, lighting or utensils. You don’t have to do all the items listed, but if you want to, that works, too. Also, if mixing isn’t your thing, going all silver is a safe and timeless choice.
Wood Floors

The easiest way to keep your kitchen warm and cozy is to go with hardwood floors. This look will never get old. If you can’t afford the real thing there are so many nice stylish laminate options that will still achieve this look. The best part about laminate options is that they are so low maintenance to keep nice and don’t scratch as easily.
Stainless Steel

If bold appliances aren’t your thing, you’ll never go wrong with a stainless steel finish. This look isn’t going anywhere any time soon. In fact, it still continues to be number one finish in kitchen appliances. It’s understandable why: its neutral color fits every single kitchen style out there. Whether it’s light or dark cabinets a stainless steel refrigerator fits perfectly with both options.
Are there any items on this list you want to bring into your kitchen?
