I hope you all had a nice Labor Day. I had some time to put my first coat of primer on my basement bathroom vanity and I’m loving the black!
To begin, I wiped down the vanity to make sure that any dirt or dust had been removed.

To speed up the process a little bit, instead of painting it with primer first, I used a black primer/paint and sprayed the entire vanity. Please note: It’s really important to use a painting mask so you’re not breathing in the paint fumes. Even when I was outside with a mask on the smell was still really strong. Be good to those lungs!

I’m SO loving the black!

It’s not done, yet. There are still a couple more steps that I’ll be able to finish now that the boys are in school. Yay! 🙂 I’ll be sanding it with a very light grit sandpaper, wiping it down again and giving it a coat of satin enamel paint.
Here’s a sneak peak in the bathroom with the sample of the new hardware.

XO,
Melessa
