I finally picked a pendant that I’m not returning!!!
Maybe you noticed in last Friday’s post, maybe you didn’t, but the light above the our dining room table is new and it’s staying! I don’t remember how many different designs I went through, but I love this one! 🙂
My goal for the space was to find a light that made a statement, yet was not too bold. I wanted something soft that wouldn’t overpower my boys gallery art behind it, but still be seen in a restful way.

There are so many options out there! I’m not gonna lie: it was a challenge. I loved a lot of pendants and chandeliers that were well over 1,000 bucks! Figures!! 😉 The bigger challenge was finding models that were more in my price range. There are so many designers out there that create incredible rooms, but the cost of everything is absolutely crazy (and really unnecessary). I pride myself in designing and renovating my home in affordable ways and educating others in the process.
I fell in love with the pendant LUNA CAPIZ from CB2. It did everything I wanted it to for that space.
It’s modern and soft with a touch of glam, which is fun. It doesn’t get in the way of my boys art or the window next to it. The balance between the table and the light is perfect. It also flows with the three bolder brass pendants only a few feet away without competing for attention.

It’s a fun addition of geometric pattern and texture that keeps the space interesting.
XO,
Melessa
P.S. I’ve got a classic fall porch coming up next…
P.S.S We got a bunny and he’s the sweetest cuddliest little man ever. Gabe named him Melvin.
