Well… I finally got to my porch. This year, I kept it simple and traditional.
There was a part of me that wanted to do some more involved, but due to the early cold weather, I had a feeling it would be a short season so I just wanted to keep it pretty clean with a few layers.
The flowers are from Home Depot and the pumpkins are from Trader Joe’s. Even the wreath was from Trader Joe’s. When I saw it as I was shopping, I couldn’t pass it up. That pretty much started the color story for the porch.

Originally, I wanted to paint some of the pumpkins with some deep green tones, but as I was placing them in, I thought, maybe not. So, I didn’t.
If I could change anything, I would have purchased more funky textured pumpkins, but at the time I thought I was going to paint a few of them. Oh well… I think it works as it is this season.

What I love most are the overgrown flowing greens in my pots. Some of them were getting so long from the summer, I held on to them and swooped a few around the back and on to the other side, draping around the pumpkins. I really enjoy how full and graceful they look.

Here’s hoping the snow melts quickly and we can enjoy some Fall a little bit longer. Fingers crossed!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
XO,
Melessa
