Last week I talked about how using hand-me-downs and old weathered decor can add character and personality to your space. This week I’m going to discuss one way to make an old table feel brand new again. Scroll down to see yet another project I’m going to be starting shortly.
Oh yes, I keep myself plenty busy. There’s always something to fix around my place. I hate to throw things away, if there’s a way to save it. I know I’ve talked about this before, but I think it’s even more important to value what we have, especially during these uncertain times.

The tops of my little side tables on my porch are really old and falling apart, but the legs are still functional. I love their height, so rather than replacing them, I’m going to pull off the water damaged tops and replace them with a little tile project.
Images below are from Better Homes & Gardens.

I haven’t decided on the pattern yet, but I did come across these ideas in this month’s Better Homes & Gardens magazine. If you’re looking for something creative to do, these images will for sure inspire you as they did me. Mosaic is timeless and very eye-catching when done right.

As for my other projects, I’m dabbling with all of them during the week, as I like to have a variety so I don’t feel stuck or get sick of it right away. I’m pleased to say that my large North Shore painting is coming along very well. The colors fit so well in my basement. Since the weekend weather forecast calls for some showers, I hope to finish the painting and begin work on the frame. Crossing fingers!! 😉
What are you guys doing for yourselves to stay busy and not go crazy? I’d love to hear from you.
Stay well!
XO,
Melessa
