You guys, I’m totally pooped. Normally, I can toughen up and put in a few more hours to get a post out, but after 6 weeks of working long hours and a long day at work full of computer issues, corrupt files and a catalog due in a couple days, my mind needs a rest and a good night sleep.

Last week, some friends whom we love dearly, lost a child unexpectedly. We are heartbroken and while we can’t begin to understand the pain they feel, the outpouring of love and compassion that people showed and continue to show this family is truly remarkable. In a world that often feels so divided it has been both inspiring and beautiful to hear of extended family, friends, neighbors, teams, schools, congregations and communities coming together in loving support. These people aren’t just “talking the talk”; they are “walking the walk.” They are demonstrating love in word and deed.

At the funeral, the father shared some simple yet profound words that his dying mother shared with him years before:

“Love everyone.”

That is the grand lesson of life.  And that lesson is learned in doing and serving and loving.

Hey guys, I’m just about done with the Talisman 2019 Product Catalog. The end is very near! Yay! I’ll actually be able to relax over the holidays, for reals!!

Because it’s a crazy work week, I’m going to post next Tuesday. I’ve got a really fun Thanksgiving tablescape idea to share with you but I need some time to make it, pull it together and photograph it. I promise you won’t be disappointed on Tuesday! I might even throw in some freebies. 🙂

Oh my goodness, my kitchen is getting all fixed up next week, plus some additional trim added here and there. It will be a busy week too but I’m excited to see everything come together.

I’m in the middle of catalog season and working late. Plus, all my equipment, camera, lights, etc., is at work. So, it’s pretty nuts. Originally I was thinking that I’d pass on decorating the inside of our house for Halloween this year, but then, I missed all the festive decor. So, in literally an hour I ran down stairs dug up some webs and pulled out the halloween bin.
