If you’re looking for a new look or maybe you just moved into a new place, consider a moody, earthy toned room. This deep, luxurious shade of green is just stunning! I’m drooling over it as I look at it. I’m already thinking… hmm… where can I apply that rich tone? What’s funny is I already carry this shade in my living room. I love it’s warm connection with nature.Ā Plus it looks dynamite next light natural wood tones and warm metals like brass and gold. It’s a stunning color and itĀ screams opulence.

PPG Paintās team of global color experts decided that the overarching theme was “a desire to be more closely connected to nature.”
āThe urge to reconnect with nature is driven by todayās tumultuous, still somewhat rebellious, always connected society. This was a recurring theme that our experts from around the world touched upon during this yearās Global Color Workshop,ā she explains. āFor example, empty space in our livesāsuch as downtime waiting for a bus or lulls in conversationātends to be filled with the use of our smartphones. Being surrounded by Night Watch can give some of that empty space back by pulling our memories of natural environments to the surface to recreate the calming, invigorating euphoria we feel when in nature.ā

Bringing natural elements and colors into your home is important! It connects you to nature and it makes your home even more inviting and warm. Don’t be afraid of rich jewel colored tones in your home. If you love it, invite it in. Your personality should shine through your decor style.

How do you feel about Night Watch? Would you add this color to your home?

June 19, 2018 at 8:08 amDon’t be. It doesn’t have to be on all the walls in a room. Don’t be afraid to experiment with a color you really like. It can be as an accent wall, in a small bathroom, closet, stairs, inside cabinets or shelves, or even as an accent color painted on the bottom of your furniture. I will say this, dark colors stand out with white or cream trim the best. Contrast makes it more dramatic. Play and have some fun!

June 22, 2018 at 6:43 amOh gosh, that’s one of my very favorite colors, I have so many clothes in that shade! I just bought some running tights in that green and got them home only to realize that I also have a t-shirt, cardigan and WINTER COAT in the same color; I could totally go undercover for the Forest Service as a pine tree!
