Even if you like all neutrals, adding colors and accents of other hues as a pop against those neutrals can really improve your space and make a huge impact.
As you know I LOVE color. Not just loud bold colors, I love all colors. Color has exploded over the years. Designers are becoming more fearless and experimental with new unique color combinations. We do it all for you guys! Did you know color is the one aspect that can totally transform a space? It’s true!
With an entire rainbow of options to pick through, here are a few colors that aren’t going out of trend anytime soon and designers like me, are just drooling over.
Blues and Greens
Dramatic hues of saturated blues and greens are stunning. I’m a sucker for this. My house is filled with them. With endless tonal variations, blue and green combos can be fresh or moody, creating a serene scene in any living space.

Fresh Pastels
Don’t be scared of pastels. They are very important. They don’t need to consume a room, but they can play a strong supporting role as a background tone with neutrals or bold color.

Blue-Gray
This could also be in the category of pastel if there is more of a blue or lavender hue to it, but this color is a stunner too next to raw wood tones. It gives me chills when used correctly. This muted tone is a soothing tranquil color that will make your space feel light, fresh and peaceful.

Pops of Yellow or Magenta
Adding pops of vibrant color in your home isn’t bad. It actually makes the space feel more cheerful, bright and sunny. Keep it simple. When added properly, it’s not overwhelming at all.

Black
2018 is all about moody shades. If you’re feeling unsure about going too dark, try grounding your design with black accents. Ease in experimenting with lights, pillows, rugs an accent chair, or a work of art to bring more weight to your decor. Don’t be afraid to try new things. If it doesn’t work out, that’s okay (return it) and play around with other options.

August 7, 2018 at 8:29 amOrange is a high energy color. It’s a great color to get someone pumped. That’s why they use that color in professional sport locker rooms. It’s a fab color! I recommend you use it as an accent color. Try throws, pillows and art. You can even go as far as an accent chair or couch. To make it look rich, contrast it with white, tans and light grays, blues, pale blue and black/white combos. Good luck, I’d love to hear more about what you decide!
