Last week was an intense work week. I’m glad it’s behind me. This past weekend my family and I decided to take a small break from our work and studies to take a walk in the woods in front of our house.I love this kind of winter weather, where the fog freezes and frost covers every delicate branch and blade of tall grass. It was magical and felt like a scene from a fairytale movie. If you didn’t make it outside, don’t worry I brought my camera with me and took a handful of photos to share with you.

I just got my kitchen cabinets in!!! I’m on to the next phase of finishing the kitchen. Juggling the kitchen remodel, the contractors and big catalog and trade show deadlines was pretty heavy. So, when Nate suggested we all stop and take a breath and enjoy a walk together, it was a glorious idea and just warmed our hearts. For those few moments, we let go of all the weight on our shoulders and just simply focused on the natural beauty a loving Heavenly Father blessed all of us with.

The detail of lacy crystals dusted perfectly over everything was stunning. For I moment I envied the mice and squirrels that woke up in the very center of that silvery wonderland.
It was so lovely, it was hard to leave. I’m so glad I brought my camera with me.

XOXO,
Melessa

December 11, 2018 at 7:40 amI went out and took pictures of the trees too! When I came in and showed them to my husband he said, “Why did you take all these pictures of pokey looking trees?” Some people just don’t get it!
