We got the basement framed this week! I’m so excited!
We are just scratching the surface with this project, but so far so good. I’m happy with the room layouts and loving that our little storage/utility room will be a bit bigger than we expected. You can never have enough storage, right?

There was only one little hiccup in the blueprints. Due to the preexisting ductwork, we had to rethink this little hallway section. Jessie, (our contractor) was amazing and had a quick solution. It was a little crazy because I was at the office trying to wrap up 2020 product concepts for work, then trying to approve the rearrangement of the basement layout (while trying to visualize it). Long story short, I ended up driving home just to see it. Jessie was totally on top of it. So, I turned around and drove back to the office to wrap up concepts and ended up getting home around 8pm. When I walked into my house it smelled of freshly cut pine. Such a wonderful smell! I loved walking down into the basement to see this. So fun!

I finished my little floral painting for my kitchen. That was the very last project for my kitchen remodel. So this Friday, I’ll show you the process of my newest painting, and next week is the BIG KITCHEN REVEAL!!! I can’t believe I’m finally finished. I’m super excited to share with you what I did. Stay tuned!
XOXO
