When it comes to redecorating a bathroom, we can all feel a little overwhelmed. It can be costly if you let it, but it is possible to give it a new updated look without ripping out everything. Here are 5 simple adjustments that can renew and freshen up your bathroom now.
We all dream of a glamorous spa bathroom in a perfect world, but when we bring our bodies back to planet earth it’s really not that practical or the most cost-efficient direction to go. We need to think more responsibly and be more creative with smaller realistic budgets.
I’m going to share with you simple effective adjustments you can make that will transform even the most worn out, unloved spaces. Here we go!
Lighting
We don’t put enough thought into our lighting. We settle too much on the existing fixtures in our bathrooms. Put your money towards lighting solutions that will help you get ready in the morning. Make it serve two purposes; beautiful in an aesthetic way and functional for use. Be playful. Let your personality come out more with creative lighting.

Mirrors
Every bathroom comes with a mirror, I mean why wouldn’t it right?! Again, let’s be more playful. Make it a statement piece. If you have a small mirror, change it out for something with more character. If you have ones of those long large wall mirrors, you can pull that off and replace it with two mirrors or use trim to build a large frame around it. Mirrors can make your space bigger, especially when it comes to small spaces, so start using a funky mirror to expand it.

Fixtures
Other overlooked items in your bathroom are your faucet and shower head. Just because it’s a budget-friendly option doesn’t mean you should compromise on style. Cheap things tend to fall apart and stain terribly. There are mid grade options out there that aren’t nearly as expensive as replacing an entire sink or floor. Check out some of this stunning options below.

Knobs
This one should be a no-brainer. Make the most of your space. In a matter of minutes you can instantly boost those dreadful old cabinets into WOW vanities. It’s like putting earrings on your bathroom. So, complete your bathroom with this dynamic accessory.

Ummm… This is a no brainer, too. You can do so much with paint. Think about a fresh coat of paint to lift the bathroom vibe. You can paint your vanities, an accent wall or all the walls. You can paint the ceiling, or go as far as painting a pattern on your floors. Think BIG!
FYI- I love patterns as much as the next person, if you want to take color the next level and go for wallpaper. Think about how steamy it get’s in that room first. We see stunning wallpapered bathrooms on Pinterest all the time. But how long does that wallpaper last on those wet walls? I’m all about practical design. So, as beautiful as those rooms look, I would opt for a powder-room/half bathroom and wallpaper in there.
