Check out the latest catalog and new products from Talisman Designs! This was one of my favorites and most challenging catalogs I’ve done for Talisman Designs.
I almost forgot to talk about this. After the catalogs have been launched to the public, I’m under contract until six months after the launch date to publicly talk about my work. This is my day job and my bread and butter, so if you’re wondering what I do with a lot of my time, besides being a wife and mother, it’s inventing and designing these whimsical kitchen products.
As Creative Director and Lead Designer I come up with the vision for each catalog and use it to tell a story to Buyers and Retailers. 2019 is all about color. So, for this catalog I wanted all of the products to look as colorful, happy and beautiful as possible. We have such a colorful selection of products, I couldn’t resist creating a color wheel story.
Because it’s a small company, we all have to wear multiple hats. So, I did all the concepts, staging, mockups, lighting and photography for this catalog. I had a small team help photoshop and lay in text, but the rest was all on me to execute this last season. I’m not going to lie; it was a rough season of all nighters and day’s that at times ranged from 14 hours to 22 hours. It was physical, mental and gross at times. But, the finished product was worth it and I made it through.
Now that I can finally talk about it, here it is! Yay!
