Woven textures are very important. Don’t misunderstand, it’s not just for bohemian or coastal styles, its natural weaves work in a variety of design styles. You can mix this look in traditional, rustic or modern spaces through rugs, furniture, baskets or light fixtures.
BASKETS
We all crave good hidden storage. Textured baskets are a must for rooms (they hide kids toys!). The baskets in the above image were used specifically for toys. It makes clean-up for the kids easy, too.

You can buy these woven gems just about anywhere without having to invest a lot. I personally use them in my bedroom to store my most recent mail and bills. I love how they hide the clutter!

Other ways to use woven baskets? How about as s a planter (note my basket behind the marble table), laundry hamper or above a toilet to hold extra toilet paper (I’ve got one above every toilet in my house!)

LIGHTS
First of all lighting (in my opinion) is a fabulous way to make a statement. For a brighter area with windows, going with a natural textured light adds definition and form to your space. It’s stunning with tables that are either darker than the woven light or a white table.
FURNITURE
Furniture that is woven says, relaxed, organic and fresh. You can pair a woven couch with light or dark accent chairs. You can also pair them with items of the same tone. These types of furniture are more flexible than you think.
They are so versatile! It’s beautiful with most colors and, of course, total “Wow!” with white or black.
It really adds an eclectic touch that gives the room layers and texture.
RUGS
My husband would snarl at this part, HA! He hates rugs on top of rugs. I, of course, love it. Hello! Layers! Natural rugs are perfect as a bottom neutral layer to a smaller more dramatic rug on top as a statement piece. In fact, I did this look at home of a friend in NY and it looked awesome! Even Nate thought it look cool. Ha! It just says comfort and relaxation. And they work is any location in the home. Think all the rooms in your home. You can’t go wrong!
DECOR

This is the cheapest way to bring in texture to your home. Add baskets to your walls or a woven vase to your bookshelf. Store magazines in baskets, or add a plant to a basket instead of a ceramic pot.

Bottom line: mix up your materials in your spaces. Don’t just go all-in with the same look. Make it interesting and tell a story in your home.
What woven accents are you willing to bring into your home?
